found a sub that is DVC 4-ohm rated 350W/rms. and a mono amp that is rated 450W @ 4-ohm and 900W @ 2-ohm. should i be looking for an amp that is 350W or lower at the 2-ohm load or just the same sub that is DVC 2-ohm?
well lets put it this way. the amp i'm lookin at is $100 and the sub is $60-$70. this is going in a 2002 s-10 regular(single) cab. so i have VERY limited space. i want to stick with a single sub setup most likely 10". but i really dont want to go with any of the shallow mount subs. but yea, not much space and not much money to work with. i'm ok with it being cheap i know i won't get much. somethin's better than nothin'.
Like I said, you're going to need to put back a few more dollars if you want to buy anything even remotely decent...unless you're willing to buy used stuff on craigslist or the classifieds...
if you wire that MBQ down to 1ohm on that MBQ amp, you would need to be careful with the gain. That would be a decent setup for entry level, but not much more. If you just wish to add some semblance of bass to your truck, it will do the trick
In a good box it will probley sound clean. It likely will not be over 132-133db, but its would be enough to satisfy the bass requirement of music. There is nothing wrong with that equipment if your on a tight budget
