I bought this amp as a recommendation from another member and all I can say is I'm very impressed. The black finish is sexy as hell and the small foot print is a plus not to mention the vertical stance which saves on space. I originally bought this amp as a back up for my aq2200 and I must say it holds up against the aq any day. It doesnt seem to be as power hungry as the aq either. Some say this amp does rated power and I will def agree with those statements. Sound stream has lost its rep as a top notch manufacturer over they years but they def hit a home run with this dtr series. Anyone looking for a good amp at budget prices i def suggest checking out the dtr, cant beat it for $328. no i dodnt work for SS just trying to pass on some info

Glad you like it, I was one of the guys that recommended it to you.

I have a prototype board almost exactly like that amp (based on the guts I've seen on a smaller model) -- it isn't as robust as the AQ amps, especially if you plan to run 16v+ or under 1 ohm.

Performs well for the cost, though.

aeroportspwn Thank you sir . Its Finish, performance, build quality, packaging even down to the laminate instruction manual i'll go as far as to say it impressed me more than my aq2200 overall. Even with the gains set lower I got more output from the dtr than the AQ with slightly less strain on my volts. At $60 less and a 2 year warranty the D-tower gets my vote. The aq will be my back up amp now lol. Ill be switching to the 4 ch d-tower once i get some more funds i'm pretty sure it will out perform my zues

Love me some soundstream. I went with the xxx line of amps though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif there was a video on youtube of a guy running 2 2200s at .25 each. Pretty awesome stuff.

I'm just still trying to decide on t5s or splx subs... can't afford the xxx line on subs for a long while lol.

Yeah i saw those videos plus there was a civic with 8 dtr 2200. Sound stream is def trying to build their name up again. Those xxx are ridiculous
