From what I see, they use standard double and triple-stack motors. The design can lend itself to making more, or less, BL... but I fail to see how Shocker has a way to magnetize their ferrite more so than other companies, which is what you seem to be saying here. The sig appears to have a double stack of the 9" mags, also found on the old XXX and a few other subs. Not every motor does it from 8 ft away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
So someone bought them out and just wants to cash in on the reputation for a while before the Sig becomes completely obsolete. What an outstanding business philosophy. Cant wait to hop on this bandwagon. When asked: "Hey, I seen the website and it looks nice. Just wondering how do these subs compare to the old shocker subs? What replaces the shocker 3 and shocker SS subs? also who designs them? If i remember correctly mike Ankey designed the OG shocker subs is he still the designer? Also could i get a price list?
They responded: "Thanks, were still putting the site together. The sub are more up to date I would say, except the SIG, the SIG we left alone. It has such a reputation that we did not want to change it . sure the baskets are no black and the dustcaps are different but that’s about it. The shocker 3 and SS may come back one day were not sure. Yes Mike was the original owner and designer of Shocker. He no longer owns shocker but he stayed on as a consultant so that we can keep shocker what it is. we don’t want to really change it just bring it back"
Why would the Sig become obsolete? You could consider them old technology if you wish, but they're still one of the loudest motors you can get.So someone bought them out and just wants to cash in on the reputation for a while before the Sig becomes completely obsolete. So you think the Shocker Sig will be a viable speaker platform forever? Interesting. Why would the Sig become obsolete? You could consider them old technology if you wish, but they're still one of the loudest motors you can get.

But Mike is behind the magic that has made them great in past years. Hopefully if this company plans on making new subs similar to the Sig, Mike is behind the designs, or they may not get near as loud? And as for that 10", looks awesome, but gotta go with a 12" so it fits in a box.Yes the sig 10 motor is bigger then the mounting holeI think shocker will always be a viable company even if Mike isn't making the subs anymore.Alot of companies buy smaller ones with soild products and ride on that rep.I guess will just have to wait and see how they do.
The OG Shockers didn't... they just had "Shocker" written in that Earthquake font. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifOh man. I haven't heard anything about these in forever.
Never realized they really had the shocker on the cone though!
