Most of alpine is decent. Even there cheaper stuff is ok. But the R's sound good plus can get pretty loud. I dont think they are that overpriced compared to some other car manufactures out there. Peace!

Ahhhh, dammit. As i was typing my response in the other thread, it got moved into this one. BASTARDS!!!

Anyways, they are an AWESOME budget sub. For performance per dollar, i don't think they can be beat. They love low tuned boxes, handle extraordinary amounts of power for competitions, and can easily take double their rated RMS for daily driving.

All around, just badass subs.

i just bought a 10 inch alpine type r 1022d sub, with a mrd-605 mono amp, and a ***** am stealth enclosure. do u think this will sound good?

So I was driving down the road a sec ago and it was pounding and sounding fine. All of a sudden I hear a loud pop and come to find I ****ing blew it. I have no idea how, why it happend. The coil made a nice circle on the cone. How gay.

Well I'm gonna return it and get a refund and drag 150$ out of my next check to get something.

My MTX I had was freakin awesome never had a problem. Dunno why this thing shat on me.

I'll have about 300$ to spend.

i have a compvr 15 in 5.63 cu.ft. sloted enclosure tuned at 32hz on a directed 1500d @ 2ohms 800watts will i get more spl/deepbass out of the alpine or the kicker my system i in 2004 nissian xterra dynomated top to bottom
