also agree with that detroit is doing a wonderful job putting together this team. now if everyone stays healthy you guys might win more than 5 games.

fvck the dolphins and ginn......i'm a die hard dolphan fan, but they are the worst team when it comes to picking players on the first day(vernon carey,jason allen and the verdict on ronnie brown is not out yet but he is not a feature back in this league. no way, and the dolphins are learning it the hard way..he's no ricky williams...lol

that pick surprised me. i would've passed on quinn as well, but i wouldn't have taken ginn. i would've taken someone like patrick willis. their D is getting old and i just don't think quinn was good enough to be the 9th pick. they got john beck in the 2nd round, so that was probably their plan all along. i would've traded down if they wanted ginn, or taken willis or another defensive player

i really don't understand this i believe quinn will have much more success at the next level than russell. first of all who is russell a one year wonder, he reminds me of this guy named akili smith everybody talked him up and guess what bust! and ginn omg I'm not upset they choose him but at 9. back to quinn 4 year starter, 5 to 1 touchdown to int ratio, played in an nfl setting.what else is there to say . the dolphins needed someone who could people the ball. i feel sorry for ginn and beck there whole careers are going to depend on how they handle the pressure in miami. the fans are going to eat them alive. It's a wonder why camron hasn't had a head coaching job in the nfl he doesn't know how to make business decisions. im just ranting but im putting my money on quinn( cleveland new they fvcked up and hurried up to get him) . cleveland got ***** in the brady deal. they get joey harrington for a first and second round pick. also cleveland won't be very good next year, so the pick dallas gets from cleveland, will be better then 22nd, plus they got a 2nd round pick to boot.

They will be better than what they have been. Totally revamped offensive line, 2 starting quaterbacks that will fight for the #1 spot, although I am not huge on either of them, but think Quinn will make more happen, maybe not this year, but maybe next. Want to see what Frye can do behind this new line with the likes of Shaffer, Stienbach, Fraley,McKinney,Thomas. I mean that will be one of the better offesive lines in the league granted not to many injuries happen. So will open up room for Lewis and protect Fyre or Quinn. I really think Edwards is going to have a pro bowl type year this year at wide out with Jurevicious if he stays healthy doing well too as well as Kellen Winslow(Last I heard that he was hurt though.)and Steve Heiden at TE. Their defense looks good too with a hell of a linbacker crew and a Roye will do his thing on DE. Only question I really have left is their secondary. Bodden is good, but dont know much about Kenny Wright or Daven Holley, but Holley played well last year when Baxter went down. So might be ok. Sean Jones is a beast so SS is covered, Brodney Pool is still up in the air with me. I think they should win 7 or 8 games this coming season.

quinn is so overrated. he is joey harrington. he has good size and average arm strength, but doesn't posses great accuracy, and got rattled good in big games. charlie weiss is a better coach then romeo crennel, and is a better offensive guru then anybody cleveland can offer, so quinn is going to get worse coaching in the nfl then he did at notre dame. russell however, has raw abilities. he's big, mobile, and has a strong accurate arm.

I am not falling for the hype or gonna jump a bandwagon being I never really like Quinn, or hell even Frye when they were in college, but there were times when I was watching Quinn at ND were you showed he could be something else. Then he would do something retarded, but Charlie Frye is notorious for looking good a few times, then looking horrible for the rest of the game. So I hope being that this new revamped o-line will help both.

stanton is a better QB //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif if stanton played at notre dame instead of for john L. smith, he would've been a great QB. he has good size, he's mobile, good pocket presence, accurate, and can make plays when the pocket collapses. stanton has first round talent, but playing for michigan state he was a second round pick. i love the pick. i had stanton as the 2nd best QB in the draft

the only times quinn showed he could do anything was against bad teams. when he played against team with NFL calibur talent like michigan, ohio state, LSU, USC, he struggled

Maybe, but college is a lot different than the NFL. So we will have to just see how he does. Really he might be the next big thing, or could be the next Ryan Leaf, who knows.

I have to dissagee with you about Stanton, being I am thinking your talking about Drew Stanton. You really cant even compare stats and Stantons are is not as good as Quinns. Stanton has more mobilty, but thats about it.

I'm just waiting to see if David Ball goes in the draft and where he'll end up if he does go. I went to highschool with Ball and I never thought it would be possible from somebody from our highschool (if you saw how bad our football team you would understand) to go pro. I would love to see it happen.

I am pleased with Tampas first day selections.

 

We filled needed spots and didn't trade away the draft for anyone.

 

1st pick - Adams ..... Defensive End

2nd pcik - Sears ...... Left Guard

3rd pick - Piscatelli (sp)...... Safety

4th pick - Black ....... Ouside Linebacker

i never mentioned stats and look where the 2 played. john l smith is not a good coach. stanton has better physical ability then quinn. troy smith had great stats and won a hesiman, but is he a top QB? quinn fits joey harrington to a T. both played for some of the best offensive coaches in college. both are the same size with limited mobility. both have accuracy issues, both had a tendency to falter in big games, quinn more so then harrington. iirc harrington led oregon to a fiesta bowl win iirc. stats don't mean a whole lot in college. scouts look at the physical abilities.
