See this is where you and me are different. Im not goign to go to someone elses board to try to change their minds. Thats not my job. My beliefs are just that, MINE! Not to push onto anyone else. Especially with such a touchy subject. You know, if it were my mother or father that would have died, Id be pretty pissed that people are dragging this on for so long, constantly reminding me of it. You act like noone has ever had a family member die over something senseless, but they eventually move on. You cant do that with peopel constantly bringing up the subject, especially with the way it is being brought up. My attitude toward the subject is that it is not debatable because its just people going back and forth, there is no solution to what already happened, and they way things are going noone is ever going to end this ongoing arguement. It has been discussed over and over.

I believe it is the most likely cause, yes.

Not all steel frame buildings are engineered the same, in the WTC towers, alot of attention has been paid to the steel pieces which lock the supports together, they have been targetted as a potential weak point. Lets also not forget the twin towers were the first of their kind, nothing like them had ever been seen, the engineers developed many new techniques, many of which were trial and error, 9/11 points to those errors.

how can fire make a steel building fall at freefall speed.

Can you imagine The whole skeleton of the structure giving away all at once. The way it fell implies that it had no resistance from the lower floors while collapsing.
