The New POLK SR series woofer any hands on reviews??

Hey guys,

I am looking into getting the new SR series woofers.

link to the specs. I am looking into getting two 12" SR12.

(Polk says they sound better then the W7..)

I was wondering has anyone heard them how do they sound. In regards to SQL.

I loved how loud the XXX was and the 13.5 W7.

I had many woofers over time.. I had a W7 13.5, 15" XXX 2005 model, and two ID max. Helped friend install of L5 15".. just a list of woofers I have heard..

I don't know but the specs look good. I will put this woofer in a ported box say tunned to about 30-HZ. I am looking at giving it 1800-2000 watts of clean power.

This setup will be in a 89 Civic ~hatchback~!! I have enough room so space isn't a problem.

Polk is second only to eD for marketing genius; they make a piece of paper sound like the world's most incredible engineering.

Looks like a nice woofer

I wouldn't run it ported though, it has a somewhat high Q and I would only put it in a sealed enclosure

Porting it may result in a peaky response

dub 7 doenst even sound that good imo to begin with. As far as marketing, I think mtx has everyone beat, with their head to head comparisons:laugh:

yes, fortunately they had nothing to do with the sr comps or subs.
