The BM's are going to be a step down from the Mag in every respect. Power handling is lower than a Mag, output will be less than a Mag, etc. As of now the BM's design does not use XBL^2, as the BM design is totally different. I'll release more info on the BM's in due time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI'm sorry if this was already asked, how much of this technology is going to make it down to the bm's? I mean, its obvious it won't be on par with the mag, that'd just make NO sense from a business standpoint. But will we see similar numbers from the bm, at possibly a lower power handling level?
Groovy, thanks for the info! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifThe BM's are going to be a step down from the Mag in every respect. He doesn't want to fool with licensing fees anymore....split coil is his toy. There are lots of buildhouses capable of building these.Just curious but is it going to be manufactured by Scott?
I doubt it will be anything like the RL-p, but it should be good. This is shaping up to be kind of like a RL-p w/XBL, similar power handling and ideal enclosure size. I'm looking forward to hearing reviews, can always appreciate an efficient driver.
I'm sure Nick will come out with a few other sizes later. The 12" model is, by far, the most popular. Nick is a very meticulous guy, he will have to prototype and listen to each size and tweak it as needed to get the exact results he requires -- not just putting a larger cone and basket on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif If you notice on the "old" Mag 15s the spiders were actually different compliance units than the 12s.boo for 12's only. Was thinking about 2 new Mag 15's but will now keep my current 15 Mags(wanted to use a smaller box). Still can't wait to hear the reviews once released
not even .........the real real issue is...y havent i been considered to part of the demo ring that went on yrs ago?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif:crying://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gifThe real issue at hand is when do i get to see/play with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

im assuming it wont handle the extreme abuse due to it having a 2.5 inch coilIt'll still handle some abuse - it just won't handle the extreme abuse that the current Mag's handle.
Potentially not as much as the 3" coil assuming same gauge, winding height, and number of layers. There are a lot of variables to be accounted for and thermal limits should really only be an issue for SPL competition...most drivers of any topology will approach mechanical limits in the appropriate daily enclosure long before thermal limits become a big concern.im assuming it wont handle the extreme abuse due to it having a 2.5 inch coilso thermaly it cant take the same treatment(abuse) as a 3 inch coil with the same amount of layers..correct?
