everybody is just waiting for the tigers to falter. remember kenny rogers isn't pitching in texas where they have the heat and can wear out pitchers. also detroit has a great bullpen that hasn't been used very much this season due to their great starting pitching, so the tigers won't need rogers and verlander to give them 7-8 innings. they can go to rodney, zumya, jones, walker, and grilli and ledezma have pitched well in the pen. plus when maroth comes back, you can move miner to the bullpen or have maroth in the pen. it's funny how the same shit was said about chicago last year and how boston was the team to beat. also the tigers will make a trade. they got a lot of money to spend and management is willing to increase payroll and make moves to get this team to the world series.

ATLANTA (AP) -- It was amazin' all right -- and in the end, it was the Atlanta Braves who came up with the miracle.

Andruw Jones drew a bases-loaded walk from Kenny Rogers with one out in the 11th inning and the Braves somehow survived a final string of Mets comebacks, beating New York 10-9 Tuesday night to win the National League Championship Series 4-2.

Garcia is going nowhere. Maybe Vasquez. But we'll be expecting at least a quality reliever and then some.....and probably end up moving McCarthy back to the starting rotation in the #5 spot. I think we should go after Maddux. He's right there in Chicago it just be a short drive to U.S. Cellular. That would make it much easier to unload Vasquez.

Valentine just had a nice hit.

2. Verlander has never pitched more than 130 innings in a season. So you can bet that he's going to get tired at some point.

i remember that game.

i siggest the tigers go to a 6 man rotation. zach miner is pitching great so when maroth comes back, you got 6 quality starters

also kenny rogers is not a power pitcher. it's not like he has a power fastball he needs to get hitters out. plus the tigers have a rested bullpen that can eat innings

4 IP...5 ER tonight. Bullpen didn't look good either. Zumaya gave up 3 ER.
