well, the good news is boston has lost 3 in a row...the really bad news is Detroit pulled it off against KC tonight...which was completely expected, but.....and we fall back 3.5 ouch....my pride... Our bullpen sucks!! And we havent had 1 complete game this year, and most starters are out by the 7th

tigers have made some good trades. kyle farnsworth for zach miner and roman colon, ugeth urbina for placido palonco, and the jeff weaver trade in wich they got bonderman
Yeah, thats funny. I was always under the impression that your stats and the teams wins are compiled over the course of a season. So that way as a hitter if you go 0-5 one night you can come back the next night and go 4 - 4 and it averages out to 4 - 9 which isn't too bad. Same thing applies to pitchers. I don't care how great you are you are going to get rocked sometimes. Its just the law of averages and NO ONE can escape it. I'm sure he'll come back next outing with a chip on his shoulder and have something to prove.
Yes, tonight even K. Rogers got hit hard and there ARE going to be times when he does. I will also say (with the exception of Contreras) that the SOX starters haven't done as good as of late either. The Tigers have won these last 2 games against the Royals in the same style the Sox have been playing the past month and a half, coming from behind. But this shit needs to stop. Its time for a quality start from the rotation and hopefully Saturday will be the first quality start of the 2nd half.
OH and whoever said Ozzie was crazy for going with Rivera in the 9th inning of the All Star game you are out of your freakin mind. Rivera is a proven closer and has been for alot of years. To say Jenks would have been the better choice is not only biased but STUPID.
Why? Have you ever thought that maybe he needs the run support. Atleast Pedro can still pitch consistently even without run support. Do you know how many games pedro has lost due to the Mets inability to score runs?!
This has been happening since last year!!
I wish Pedro would get the same run support that Trax gets (7 runs per game average)
