It was only 5 years ago the Tigers were near 20th in payroll and are in the top 10.

i didnt make up the santana part. on espn they said that there is a GOOD chance of it happening..there was no details other than it was a player mover for 2 teams money to rebuild with boston gettin santana. outside of one guy on fox sports i have not heard anyone say detroit would be getting arod and the same guy who said they would be getting him said it is more than likely over due to edgar being there....

your payroll numbers dont make much sense as about half the league is within 20-30 million of eachother then the big step up from 3rd to second and from second to 1st.......

he doesnt have the speed he use to have...but he has incredible movement and the control he had before.

he still clocks at 92-93

Jayson Stark was just on Mike & Mike this morning and said Detroit and the Mets were front runners. I don't know what you are saying about the payroll. Your sentences are too incoherent. The Tigers payroll at the begining of 2006 was 80 million. In 2003 it was near 50 million. By the begining of this season it will be around 105 million. Do you see a trend here? In 2004 they signed Pudge to a big deal. In 2005 they signed Magglio to a big deal. In 2006 they signed Kenny Rogers. In 2007 they took on Sheffield. Now they take on Renteria. Do you see something here? Each year they have taken on more and more salary.
