Ok but I'm not buying a hat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifThe Bet:
Pedro > Verlander next year = you wear Mets hat in a pic and have a positive Mets siggy
Verlander > Pedro next year = I wear Tigers hat in a pic and have a positive Tigers siggy.
Well Pedro won't out perform Verlander so I don't have to worry about buying a Mets hat. The Old English D is a classic. You'll like it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.giflol...whatever...as long as you are wearing one
they are going to go from 105 million to 135 million just like that? even if they did and they didnt win next year the tigers will more than likely be sitting not so good. that will be a 300 million dollar contract over 8-10 years only reason the yanks took him was due to the fact the rangers were still paying a good sized part of his contract (enough to afford 1-2 pretty good players)..and now since the yankees dont get to use that money they dont want him.Your post doesn't make sense. Buster Olney said in his blog Detroit was a contender and I posted the link in this thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifhttp://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=olney_buster&id=3084735
Jayson Stark was just on Mike & Mike this morning and said Detroit and the Mets were front runners. I don't know what you are saying about the payroll. Your sentences are too incoherent. The Tigers payroll at the begining of 2006 was 80 million. In 2003 it was near 50 million. By the begining of this season it will be around 105 million. Do you see a trend here? In 2004 they signed Pudge to a big deal. In 2005 they signed Magglio to a big deal. In 2006 they signed Kenny Rogers. In 2007 they took on Sheffield. Now they take on Renteria. Do you see something here? Each year they have taken on more and more salary.
Plus people will think you are part of D12my name is Daniel..so...the 'D" shouldnt be a problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I doubt he'll get 300 million. If he does I want no part in A-rod. Illitch has said he'll spend whatever it takes to win. He was the driving force to get Magglio. It wasn't Dombrowski. The Tigers currently aren't really locked into bad contracts. If Magglio stays producing like he is, that isn't a bad deal. I also forgot Kenny Rogers 8 million comes of the books, so that brings it down to 97 million, plus Pudge is getting a 3 million dollar raise so the Tigers payroll will sit at around 100 million.they are going to go from 105 million to 135 million just like that? even if they did and they didnt win next year the tigers will more than likely be sitting not so good. that will be a 300 million dollar contract over 8-10 years only reason the yanks took him was due to the fact the rangers were still paying a good sized part of his contract (enough to afford 1-2 pretty good players)..and now since the yankees dont get to use that money they dont want him.
