Apple came to verizon to carry them first. Verizon turned them down when apple wanted to basically take over there network and decide what and what couldent be on there phone.

This strikes me as a little odd, because Cingular had already incorporated Apple products (iTunes) into some of their phones (ROKR,RAZR,SLVR).

Yes, but we don't know how long ago that was. Stuff like this doesn't happen over night, it usually takes a couple years.

i like my 8525.....had a treo 750 for about a week....but teh touchscreen stopped working so i sent it back....many problems with the treo 750 n the touchscreen from what ive heard/experienced....iphone looks gay.....ive never liked ipods....i hate how the songs dont automatically go in abc order under the artist...shitty firmware

Only thing that's different in the actual computers is the OS
imo apple has better customer service

they used proprietary cpu's for years, they just started to let intel in, in the last couple of years, you could not upgrade there stuff in the past I have not used any new Mac's, but they seemed to have a lot of proprietary stuff in them a couple of years ago, did they not have there own socket MB'S and cpu's?

Even with the new intel cpus, there is no after-purchase upgradablity with Apples. No doubt, for music production, video production, and other things of that nature, Apple is second to none.

As a standalone home computer, Apple sucks balls because next year your computer is outdated and you can't upgrade without buying an entire new system
