was loud but lost tons of power due to heat, which made me rewire once i got on this efficiency kick, minimized play time.

Surely makes sense. Why I was hoping for a 40.1 replica. If I have to get it used no biggie I guess.

I'm gonna see how the IA thing goes before I shop used. I have nothing to lose trying. I like to have my toys but I want to be able to share my toys a little more in 2010 and meet more people. I like spending and building for self satisfaction I'm just laid off and bored of building big by myself.

Just want to get a nice build log ran through my buddy's shop and be a dealer outside your mainstream brands.

I may even make it a goal to have a bay of my own or at least work in a custom shop. I don't really like being at the mercy of the aviation industry.

You will be fine i (accidentally) clipped the sub for about 5 mins on 3500 watts @.25 and it's still fine...i'm really amazed at how efficient the sub is...i put it on a Kicker 1000.1 today and was amazed at the output! I have had no problems yet...and the thing moves crazy amounts of air! Make sure your bracing is top notch! The box is on paper just gonna run through and touch it up and just creep under the 20 cube mark. 19.5 or so.

Everyone seems to think it automatically has to be a SPL build cuz the woofers are big.

Yeah man your build is pretty informative and gives a nice look at the driver right from the get go. Best info I've come across about it from a forum standpoint.
