I'm doing whatever I can to get 2 of these from IA and I keep hearing this and that.

I'm set on walling 2 of these things with an IA 40.1 in 20 cubes at 32hz with 320 square. Others fill me with false hope and try to change my mind. I'll go broke to have this set up either way.

I'm about to send in an app for sponsorship in an attempt to get this build off the ground. I can't find much discussion on them from a "little guy" standpoint except for Twistedchild's build log and another place I can't even remember.

I think with my daily driver goals the equipment should never fail me unless I want it to.

With regards to (2) 21's off of 40.1, I think that would be an excellent idea. However, IA no longer makes the 40.1 (at least not for right now) so you will have to get one that has been used. I am very well versed with most of the incriminator stuff and you will never go wrong with a purchase.

With regards to your hopes for a sponsorship, I think you will look like a dog that is tied to a tree with a chain that runs to the end of it to bark like he is pissed. The only person that gets anything from IA on the super low-low is Tommy McKinnie and I think he may even have to pay something. They might cut you a "Deal", but you can pretty much hang up the idea of a sponsorship. Most manufacturers have gotten away from sponsorships because there is simply very little return on their investment and their have been competitors in the past that totally screwed over their sponsors by selling the product without consent.

All this being said, I hope that you are successful if/when you decide to get this build going because IA stuff is "NO JOKE"! LOL!

I figured by time things happen for me there would be a 40.1 replica never know.

I have no problem strapping 2 20.1's. I'm just making more of a demo vehicle to get IA into my friends shop. Our area is small and I think a decent ground pounder would help carry the product.

I'm not really looking for IA to invest in me. I'm trying to invest in them. I just need their help is all.

The dog to a tree thing is not me. That turns into brown nosing and I don't kiss *** for anything.

I'll continue on either way it will just take longer in my situation.

If you compete regularly shit is bound to break. There is no company out there that makes unbreakable products. As far as the rate of failure call Nick up and ask him yourself. You need to realize that this a big ass sub. Not everyone will have a use for it. Which is why you do not here a ton of talk about it. I would be addressing my questions to Nick though, he is the owner after all.

The thread is to bring out folks who have run them or currently are.. I think IA has justified the issue already.

I've gathered it is a big *** sub which is why I want it(them). I'm not trying to find anyone with a use for it. Its just weird there is hardly any talk about them at this site. So I hope the thread helps me as well as others.

Its also kind of a good thing I didn't buy them since ive had about 7 different manufacturer subs in my wall and was fun to direct swap stuff and see the results.

and 2x on the strapping....strapping is a terrible idea since you've got 2 power supplies for what could be done with one.

Amplification depends on what IA will have to offer. I'd like to have their amps for the subs.
