I've been holding onto this sub for quite a while, but I've decided to sell it. I was actually going to keep it and use it. I built it probably a year ago.
It's a short stacked TC9 with a tighter than standard gap (better for motor strength), a dual one ohm (0.7) aluminum flatwind voice coil, dual stacked linear spiders, heavy duty paper cone (like the RE MT uses), inverted 2 poly cone cap (like the SX or XXX would have), all on a custom powder-coated red 4 spoke basket.
This is about the best all around sub I could build from a TC9 platform. It will sound very very nice, play the lows effortlessly, and should still burp a very decent score if needed.
It will work best in .8ft sealed and 2ft ported@34hz.
The sub will handle ~1200w rms
I'll let this one go for $250 (which is a STEAL). I would pretty much challenge you to show me a better performing subwoofer for the same price.
I'm also up for trades. Open to anything really.
