They are illegally but if you have them aimed properly you got nothing to worry about. Ill admit mine are aimed high and I blind everyone havent got pulled over yet. One time I was driving on the highway in FL dead straight away and I was the only car. My lights were able to reflect the cop car seriously like 1/2 mile away i saw him and slowed down suprised he didnt pull me over

A freind of mine is a dealer and he sells them in any color for 125 not installed or 150 installed with lifetime warranty.

Forgot the brand but 8000k pointed a lil high and I can see everything and get flashed no less than 3 -4 times when driving...

ya man are aimed high as well i like seeing WAY out in front of me i get flashed on occasion to

I highly doubt a cop is going to know if your car came with HID's stock or not. Just keep them aimed right and you'll be fine.

i dont got a detector plus i heard alot of cops are going with laser now which is diffrent

depends on the state...in some state cops only use laser like in florida(ive been hit) and theres nothing you can do about laser because its direct. However, around me most use radar

I haven't been pulled over either, and have mine aimed pretty high since my car is so low. I've never been flashed though, except from other people with HID retrofits. I'm just letting the OP know before he shells out money because people HAVE been pulled over for it. Honestly, you will only get the best lighting with OEM projectors so you might as well go for them from the beginning. There are many sites that will do the retrofit for you so they are aimed properly and molded/sealed up right. They can also add LED turn signals/halos and however else you want to rice it up. I would actually do the LED turn signals though...

Well you have a truck that already has bright/highly mounted lights. I get really annoyed driving behind any GM truck/SUV and the new Tundras and new Titans. Their stock halogen lights are very bright and all of these vehicles seem to have their headlights aimed right at my rear-view mirror. My tint does absolutely nothing.

yeah, i always see people adjusting there mirrors when i pull up behind them just because my lights are so bright

I hate when trucks get behind me at night. i drive a '99 Millenia S and my seats are just about scraping the ground so the light goes straight into my eyes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
