The Great 15" Challenge

jw why 600 foot of 1/0, you do know they make much larger wire. kcmil 1250 could handle almost 5x 1/0? i have 4/0 its easy to find the connections and its rated for 405.. 2 parallel lines between the batteries, and grounds.. that good for 10k @12.5....

reason being stacking terminals is a nono....
Hmmm, simple answers would be

less resistance

higher ampacity

flexibility

ease of use (try finding terminal rings for something larger)

also I dont have wires stacked, but on buss bars.

Just to give you an idea of the power setup also im using amps that draw 1200A each on burps.

um larger wire is less resistance... you can get DLO which is basically the same stuff as welding wire its pretty flexable.. terminals are faily easy to find at you local industrial electrical supply store..fyi 3 parallel 4/0 would handle the 1200 amp load with 1/2 volt drop @ 20 feet... not knocking just wondering, its easier than your making it out to be... btw buss bars are fine and all but contact surface area is what counts.... thats hwy multpial batteries will do better than one single huge battery... unless of course the contact area of that one huge battery is adquate for the load... which currently they don't make them...

I completly understand what you are saying, but being in a Street Max class I am limited to a sinlge 800cu in battery, and nothing more.

Plus i live in the middle of no where, finding a "local industrial electrical supply store" is not as easy as it sounds lol.

I know what ya mean though but this is how I got the car, my new build will be done differently though.

don't mean to knock your system. i never hit over 153 daily with a single 15, i just had too much other shit going, you know your shit apparently.. like i said thought if you need i would be glad to get you the supplies, i do electrical for a living...

slaps self...

how do the z2s sound on music? im thinking cadence ZRS c5.....
The DDs actually do quite amazing on music, i was surprised how clean the the output is.

Well if you would like to help me with wiring for my next system id love to see what you have for ideas, im open for anything thanks

i have some bussbars about 2" wide and 32 long... made for mechanical ring terminals and the terminals i use are superior to any terminals i have seen, simply much better contact area where the wire is bonded... http://www.putfile.com/bassfreak you can see the connectors really good but its set screw but it has a V shaped channel that tightens around the entire wire... ther found at home depto and are realy cheap they aceppt up to 3/0.. 4 parallel runs of 3/0 is good for 1300 amps... ill take some pics for you too see what i amp talking about...
