That is really interesting... I didn't know they could take a few layers of rock buried 100's of feet down and analyze it so exact they can pinpoint a day.

Last time I heard anything about this it was anytime between now and the next 10,000 years. Which is the same time frame for the killer meteor and the asteroids.

Natural trends of heating and cooling of the earth. The earth cools and warms up in an oscillation that is perfectly natural. Also why global warming is total BS, the earth is coming out of a ice age. It is supposed to get warmer. Someday it will get colder as well, that is how it works.

Yup. I doubt anything will happen with the magnetic poles once everything comes into alignment, but if there was a change I highly doubt the result would be as catastrophic as these alarmists make it out to be.

it's in the mayan calender that the world will change as we know it on dec. 21 2012, it doesn't necessarily mean the world will end. If you just stop and think about the calendar and what it means and then take into account that the mayans were very smart as far as collecting data and keeping records of it and making predictions astronomically then it all makes sense that there could be a major change, possibly the end of the world. The Calendar is going to reset itself in 2012 because it is only 5000 years long ( it was created in 3113 BC), now why it suddenly ended on 2012 is beyond us which just adds to mystery of the whole prophecy and which is why we need to take it seriously.

i learned that we technically are still in an ice age reading the wiki.

i also agree after reading about the current ice age, that global warming is crap because the greenhouse effect is a natural opponent of global freezing.

its the only way that "snowball earth" would ever be able to warm up and be inhabitable.

Sad to see what little understanding most of the members have on this very important subject. If you want real knowledge you have do your own thinking and studying. All the better knowledge about the future and history is not in the mainstream libraries. It's found deep in your own research. Only you can paint the picture of it.

2012 is an important date and that is all I will say. I have read over 300 books on this subject alone.
