because the calendar ends in 2012
do you people not understand, besides you trey. LOL!

The mayan calender ends on 2012, like trey said. there are two possible outcomes, either there is a new era / the world ends and the mayans were right with there calender............ or ................ they were wrong and ran out of stones to wright on.

Now, when there is a 50/50 chance at rain in the forecast, it usually rains right? If it isn't true i believe we are very fortunate.

I believe its December 11, 2012 which is when I get my degree so ima be ****in pissed but yea it was on the history channel and it wasnt only the mayans that predicted it there were more cultures also, you would have to watch it, but I some what beleive but theres not much you can do so **** it ima be high also

December 23 was the end of the Mayan calendar year. Why does that instantly mean its the end of the world?
if their year was that much shorter than ours then would their year 2012 have already passed?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

yes..because the world is only billions of years old. makes perfect sense we figured out the end of time
in no way am i supporting any side of this thread but they Myans were some smart motherfuckers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

the same calender that they are basing the "end of the world" off of has also predicted many other things very accurately

hahahahah i LOLed at this irl

Anyways dont you all think if 2012 was really the end of the world. Scientists would be doing A LOT more research on this and uhh TAKEN IT SERIOUSLY??? not saying **** it and simply not doing anything bout it.
you have got to be kidding me!

They are taking it seriously, CNN has talked to scientists multiple times about it and if you search on the topic you will notice that even the scientists are beginning to realize this could be true.

i feel the same way. i do not support it and do not disagree with it, i believe it is too real to just ignore though and it is in out very near future. if they predicted all other stuff correctly, then please guys, why the hell wouldn't this be a real event in some way shape or form?

they mayans probably just had to stop somewhere on the calander.. they cant write a calander to infinity.and x2 oldschool
read my post above, it is still a real possibility. You have to have an open mind to understand this stuff, sometimes i feel the same way you do about this kind of stuff, but in reality this is a real possibility, you can't just say what you said above because yes, it is possible, but look at the other side of the coin for a second. Like i said, it is like a 50/50 chance of being true or not true. the odds aren't good for either side. BTW, i a trying to put this in better perspective, HA!

watch this and it will tell you about how accurate the mayans were

How the fvck does the earth pull the sun towards it...? Please explain that one to me
it's not exactly that, i believe it is the sun pulling itself towards the earth. Not sure exactly, but something like that. It's all a part of the theory of sunspots.
