I think you guys have lots of distortion. I can play well over 150 legal with very little distortion. Distortion is really what "hurts". You'd be surprised how loud it can be on the meter and still not be terribly unpleasant with very low distortion.

na..PEOPLE complain not a specific gender.....because i have never even played it for my dad...he hates bass.... his quote is "if i wanted to listen to your crappy music i would get in the car with you" so i think men and women are pretty equal when it comes to complaining.

I'm not loud, so I don't have to worry about it. Most complain that my mids and high are too loud though.

My gf will complain that she can't hear the music. SHE will turn it up and then complain that it's too loud and she hates that music. She will say she is hot, then turn the air up all the way and say she is cold. Then she will say she hates my car after she insisted that I drive. I am 27 and have had lots of girlfriends. They have all done this. It's just part of it. I'm not saying men don't complain... but come on... statistically speaking women complain tons more than men.

Then I just turn the air off, and the stereo all the way up and not let her touch the controls. When I finally turn it off she'll start complaining. I interrupt her to remind her of why I turned it up in the first place... and that if she wants to accompany me on the return trip home, she should practice biting her tongue.

I'm no woman hater... and certainly not complaining. I am just not afraid to tell the truth about women. My whang is plenty for me. I don't need to deal with someone else's.
