The Evolution of Man Scientifically Disproved

Hey man, ive been raised Catholic and have always been questioning my faith...because it seems like the bible contradicts itself countless times. Anyways, if you have a time could you answer this for me?

If God is so loving and merciful, why would he make a soul who he knew would have to send to Hell?

God is omnipotent and omniscient, he knows EVERYTHING. If he knows everything, he knows exactly what choices you're going to make according to your free will...before you're even created. If he knows you're going to make bad choices and **** yourself to hell...why make you in the first place?

And dont give me that bullshit that predestination isnt real...because according to the Bible it HAS to be since God is omniscient and omnipotent.

God cannot be such a loving and merciful person if he makes you TO GO TO HELL and suffer eternally...seems kind of cruel.

Would you put a mouse in the microwave? You know whats going to happen...You know its going to suffer...Why do it?

It was a rhetorical question...lol

regardless though, I would very much like him to answer that question for me

um... dirt?

The bible is a story just like any other. There are thousands of religions across the world, but only three major ones. Each religion has it's own stories and beliefs about creation. Just because each branch has such a strong conviction about their beliefs, doesn't make it true. As to their size being testament to their "truth", with the exception of Judaism, the religion was spread through incarceration, torture, corruption, and wealth.

I believe beauty and the beast was a true story. I have yet to find a castle where tea pots and flatware sing and dance, though.

On a side note, every religion is just like a cult - full of fascists. If you take everything you hear literally, then you're just foolish. I'm not spiritual nor am I religious. Anti-theist if you will. But if I were a practicing member of any religion, I wouldn't be consumed by the stories - simply use them to develop social morals and ethics. That's all they are really good for, teach morals to children. Be kind to each other. Don't start war or hate. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Respect others and your elders, etc.
I don't see religion as a cult, but more of an implementation of virtue ethics. For those wondering, virtue ethics bases its belief on the virtues characterized by people which, in our minds, are perfectly virtuous. So how do we start out with these virtuous people? The bible and other religious texts. Each story is a story of the virtue one should implement in real life. If you all want a cliche for it, you can remember the "WWJD" bracelets and stickers.

Still, I feel that everything had to start from somewhere. In my mind, there is a supreme being or beings that set up a very detailed "swiss watch"-type of world and now just lets it run itself. Do I think evolution is true? Simply put, it had to have happened to some degree. We have adapted, and that is the essence of evolution. Whether we started as cells or as actual people is unknown, and will never be known.

You keep saying that, but then everything else you say seems to contradict that statement.
What I think you might not understand is the difference in belief in a higher power and a formal religion. One doesnt have to be a member of a religion to believe in god, as I think Mikes case is. But I could be wrong.

passing the genes of the fittest to the next generation evolution. you dont know what you are talking about, so therefore i shall call you ignorant and tell you to stfu.
Lol, you calling the kettle black. Hes right, its not enough just to survive. You have to be the "fittest", then you have to reproduce and pass those genes on. Thats the whole basis of evolution. You have a warped view of what "evolution" is, read Richard Dawkins book Climbing Mt. Improbable then get back to us.

Its often said that because evolution happened in the past, and we didn't see it happen there is no direct evidence for it. That, of course, is nonsense. It's rather like a detective coming on the scene of a crime, obviously after the crime has been committed, and working out what must have happened by looking at the clues that remain. In the story of evolution, the clues are a billionfold.

very close. while i do consider myself a member of the christian faith, i do however tend to believe what i believe based on what i've seen and researched and found to be true in my own personal life, not what some "preacher" told me. What i have a problem with is the fact that many if not most churches these days preach about salvation, but dont build you up in your faith, its like their job is to get you saved then its up to you. which is the wrong approach. there tends to be a lack of accountability in the modern day church. A buddy of mine used to have a talk show in denver. he told me about one instance in particular where a pastor was having an affair with a member of the church and when everyone found out about it they kicked the woman out of the church rather than the pastor. that is an example of the hyprocracy i see running rampant in christians these days. how can we set an example for the rest of the world with all the hyprocrits(sp?)

I do appreciate what you are saying. It just seems to me that some, who not only believe in "a" God but a specific God along with a fairly specific theology, are too quick to run from the term "religion."

Yes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Or was that a rhetorical question?
I would too. And God would love it, because, by definition, God is pure unconditional love. When you kill, He kills. When you ****, He ****s. He loves both same and just as much.

He is not a person. He is not biased. He does not care...because once you car, you judge. God cannot judge. Once you learn that everything in the created Universe is a judgment (ie polarized) you will understand the true nature of God.

Thanks to religion, who create CONDTITIONS of God, this has all been bastardized. The moment you realize that you are always loved and supported by the Universe, you are free. Read that again, ALWAYS....no exceptions!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
