Most things in science today are "still a theory", in fact almost all are. Relativity is still a theory. Physics, the speed of light, gravity, expanding universe - all theories. Why? Because it is easy to disprove but nearly impossible to prove.Hence why it's still a theory.
Funny how you call evolution a theory as if it is some kind of slander. "Oh but it's only a theory, so I can believe whatever I want!" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifIn science, a theory is a mathematical description, a logical explanation, a verified hypothesis, or a proven model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation. It follows from this that for scientists "theory" and "fact" do not necessarily stand in opposition. For example, it is a fact that an apple dropped on earth has been observed to fall towards the center of the planet, and the theory which explains why the apple behaves so is the current theory of gravitation.
No one cares what you think.
My fault. I thought you were calling it a theory with bible-thumping intentions.I would never call evolution a theory in a slanderous manner... I'd only do that to organized religion...
Well, the popular belief may be that Gandhi was a fanboy of Thoreau. The truth, however, is that later in life Gandhi grew to despise Thoreau. In fact, Gandhi would later refer to Thereau's ideas expressed in "Civil Disobedience" as a "crock of shit." Gandhi confided in members of his crewe that his one regret was that he ever went off on the whole nonviolence tangent in the first place. He then had one of his boys kill him so that he could meet up with Thoreau in the afterlife and "put a boot in his ***."someone your avatar highly respected. henry thoreau
