This is what I have to deal with to deaden my door. I have to remove a shit load of motors, wires, etc... this will not be fun. Also pictures are my new RCA's. Stage 1 stingers. Didnt think I would need a stage 2 since im not trying to win any comps, although they might have helped. I got them to use with my new components. very nicely made i love them

start cutting small strips of deadener and start putting the puzzle together. Grab a few beers and a nice chair to sit on and it shouldnt be too bad. Sealing the door is gonne be a PITA though

It sucks, but its not that bad. Worst part is it appears they use the window regulator assembly as part of the structure of the door. Good for maintenance, poor for keeping the door solid.

Like said above, just cover those holes with sheetmetal/wood/rigid plastic/whatever, and deaden as much as you can. Go under the linkage.

that sucks lots of weird shapes. Tape it all off make a form fitting fiberglass panel, then screw the panel back on. Its the easy way on that hideous creature.

Why would you cover the holes with plastic/metal etc? Couldnt you just cover the holes with deadener and call it a day?

A stiffer material like sheet metal or (treated) wood will add rigidity, and not flap under pressure like just laying mat over such a large hole would do.
