Is the death penalty morally wrong?

how is being caged for life more cruel? Like honestly, how do you think locking someone up is cruel? They are there for a reason and this way they aren't out on the streets capable of causing further harm to a community. Perhaps we should just let killers run loose //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
So please....explain //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
no. they can just kill a guy in prison for selling pot or some other petty felony. :fyi:prison isn't segregated like the movies would lead you to believe.

Ha ha were out of the middle ages now, fyi //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
Oh silly me, I forgot that.

So if your mother, sister, (someone that means a great deal to you) was *****, murdered and thrown over a bridge like a piece of trash and they caught the guy, he admitted it, and was found guilty, you think him being alive sitting in prison is punishment enough?

H.ell, even IF he got the death penalty, would it be satisfactory to you that he was just given something that softly put him to sleep?

There are a couple of things that you guys have brought up that are interesting.

I have a hard time NOT being for the death penalty. I mean, if someone is a serial killer, what do you do with them?
Put them in a cell for life. The prisons are overpopulated as it is. I honestly think we let people sit around in the prisons on death row for far too long.
I think that this is dumb. Even though I don't like the idea of the death penalty, we are wasting money by continuing to feed a life that has nothing left to do but end.

i am. people are quick to ask the "who are we to kill them" question when being caged for life is much more cruel.
Being in prison is a tough thought, but you can still be constructive and have some semblance of a lifestyle, however limited it may be.

Being in prison for a finite amount of time is little different that being put in the corner as a child.

Not sure what is dumb about it? I am agreeing with you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I was saying if someone kills someone and it is able to be proven, kill them. If not we just put them in a prison for life and that is a waste.

I should have put "Put them in a cell for life?"

i actually think that instead of killing those sentenced to death, we should just sell them into slavery instead.

If we auction them off to the highest bidder, we might help the economy. I think killing them is a real waste.

I think it is VERY easy to form an opinion on it, when you are not involved.

I mean you can choose now, but let your grandmother get ***** by some crack head and then he kills her for the ring she won't give up because it belonged to your dead grandfather. See how you feel about killing the guy then.

And just as a side-bar. Anything that has to do with sodomy or **** of a child, DEATH! Horrible death
