The big 3 just don't get it, nobody wants American cars.

wow, thats amazing..so uh, you think if we were to embark in another large scale war where our nations survival is on the line, Ford is still gonna be rolling out F-150's?
I would rather see large scale surveillance and a shitload of missile loaded predators and covert ops than a conventional standing military in that dump aka the mid east. the game of war has changed

The companies that build our defenses are privately funded by oligarchies. The people who own the Big 3 have an estimated 20% in what they contribute overall.

For someone who works in that industry, you are wrong.

Since you would be on the bottom of that pyramid, assuming you were even in it (which you're probably not), that makes you know the least. Therefore, you would no little to nothing about the sort.

Your post count screams nerd

Do you know anything at all about defense contracting rules? Do you know anything about how Congress appopriates money?

The only reason why american cars have stayed here for so long is because police, ambulance, etc etc are keeping them in service....now if they were only smart enough to have camrys or accords as police cars, then we can save money on gas too.
I won't front though, GM has really improved there product in recent years but it may be too late for them. I know Chrysler is still sub-par and I'm not too sure about Ford but looking at the interior of the new Mustang looks like they are finally getting the message. It's just too bad that they decided to improve their product too late because if they go under I would honestly miss seeing some of those cars on the road. The imports just offer a more options and better quality. X5/ML/Cayenne/RR>Escalade/Navigator E/5/A6/M/GS>STS/MKZ/300 and Z/S2K>Mustang/Challenger
most places in NA make it mandatory to have RWD for police cars, not to mention the SUV's need to be large enough for their needs. And please, the 350z is by far the worst Z car imo nissan has EVER producted. it should not be called a Z.

maybe in the world you live in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Dude..i mentioned german too..

I can go outside right now and take a photo of every car on a 4 block radius and they'll be more imports than domestics..
In NY,not everywhere else.........I am from NY and low live down south

more cars/trucks outside of NY are domestic......

I would NEVER bail out the Big3 if I had my way... the people arent buying

cars and they wont for a long while . . . The big3 will use up the cash and end up

back where to square one........... - Give the money to the people who are loosing

there homes because of the Suits who ****ed up a nation......

Babyboomers are EVIL !

First, go back to hickville and work on your 1979 Rustang. Second, you better check your yourself before you start throwing out statements like that. Cheesy Jap cars? Have you ever been in a true Japanese car? Supra, Skyline, Silvia, NSX, 300ZX TT, 350Z, Evo, STi, Integra Type-R, etc, etc? They would put your cheesy american cars to shame. Running on either a 6cyl or a 4cyl engine and they still outdo your rediculous American V8's that are so dated they need to be tossed in the trash.
The build quality of a Japanese over a Domestic car is undeniable. I've yet to see a domestic car, truck, or suv go 500k+miles without a rebuilt engine or replacement, or some type of major problem in general. There was a 1995 Honda Civic EX with 998,000 miles on it for sale last year. Still on the stock engine, ******, etc. Basic maintenance required and it ran forvever. In fact, Honda NA purchased it to put in their museum.

Lastly, the Big-3 DON"T deserve the bailout. They are to worried about their own personal finances to care about the american public. They flew to the bailout hearing in GM's $36mil dollar jet. Hows that for American ignorancy? The big-3 are moving their operations to Mexico and Canada for cheaper labor costs. While Japanese and European auto makers are creating new jobs by bringing their operations here.

Get your facts straight before you open that hole in your face. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
you're one of the top 10 dumbest posters in this thread. american cars will outlast any foreign car with proper maintenance and vice/versa. and i can go outside right now and put my 2000 olds odo at 999,999 miles and try to say it's real. just STFU and leave the USA if you hate it so much. it should be legal to kill people like you. you sorry piece of good for nothing shit

Word! And also I have had a 300zx TT and it sat in my back yard for 2 years till I parted it out because they wanted 3400 dollars to replace some rods, pistons and what not. Do that to an american car, looking at 1200-1500 smacks if that.

If they don't bail them out, then we are headed to a place I much rather not go to.

Maybe someone shouldn't have bought such a small car. I have a nissan pathfinder and love it. Better gas milage than explorer and trailblazer. Smoother ride and faster.
Didn't have a car at the time, car was my mothers and she said I could take over payments as she was tired of the car and wanted something else.

I said what the hell as I got it for a steal! Only had 1 year left on it, so took it over and ended up selling it for a good amount and got to spilt the money with my parents as that was part of the deal, because she knew I wouldn't want to keep it long.

Hell, I got the Focus while I had the Eclispe as I got tired of it. So wasn't like I went to a dealership and said "Fawk this car is so god dam small.......and expensive, I am sold on it! " //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Sorry I didn't write my life story about how I got into that car.

Also considering the Eclipse he had was made in Northern Illinois and might as well be a chrysler product anyway.

Probably right, but like I said, I don't get into the brand thing.........I will drive whatever I like, simple as that.
