The big 3 just don't get it, nobody wants American cars.

Iwas watching the Auto Bailout Hearing on CNN and HFS is really ripping these CEOs a new one, . These guys have no plan for a chapter 7 or 11, expecting this 25billion to be loaned to them. Also the CEOs are not willing to take pay cuts to help there business. There claims of having more fuel economic cars than there competetion may be true but the fact is, no one wants a American car(s). People rather spend a few thousand more on a Japanese counterpart. I know I'm part of the millions who rather buy a Accord or Altima over a Malibu or Taurus. I rather buy a 350z or s2000 over a Mustang or Saturn Sky.

Also American small cars are a joke, Focus? Cobalt and that Dodge crossover thinga majig, . Seriously, these guys deserve to fail, nobody wants that garbage. While my local Nissan and Toyota make that money, the Ford across the street is stale, dust in the office and not a phone rang for hours. American cars are not the future as the big 3 so think.

Apparently someone does

"General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC sold 8.5 million vehicles in the United States last year and millions more around the world. GM outsold Toyota by about 1.2 million vehicles in the United States last year and holds a U.S. lead over Toyota of about 560,000 so far this year. Globally, GM in 2007 remained the world's largest automaker, selling 9,369,524 vehicles worldwide -- about 3,000 more than Toyota.

Ford outsold Honda by about 850,000 and Nissan by more than 1.3 million vehicles in the United States last year.

Chrysler sold more vehicles here than Nissan and Hyundai combined in 2007 and so far this year."

what cheesy jap cars? I know I'm part of the millions who'd rather buy a Accord or Altima over a Malibu or Taurus

No sense even arguing over this one. Some people just dont get it and by the way, I am perfectly happy with my Focus............small? I am 5-10 255 pounds and have plenty of room in my Focus. Now my Eclispe I had, I could barely get my head in the car with the seat all the back. Anbody over 6 foot tall would need to sit in the back seat to fit correctly. You want to talk about small, which is retarded to boot, because every manufracture has small cars, big cars.

And honestly, I say get what you like and what fits your budget for you to enjoy. I don't get the whole import/domestic thing. If you like how a certain ride looks, and comforts you and drives the way you want, then so be it! Who cares what other people think!

Just because you wear gook goggles doesn't nobody wants American cars. The US automakers have lost market share and that will happen since we transformed into a global economy, but your assertion that no one wants American cars is false

The only reason why american cars have stayed here for so long is because police, ambulance, etc etc are keeping them in service....now if they were only smart enough to have camrys or accords as police cars, then we can save money on gas too.

I won't front though, GM has really improved there product in recent years but it may be too late for them. I know Chrysler is still sub-par and I'm not too sure about Ford but looking at the interior of the new Mustang looks like they are finally getting the message. It's just too bad that they decided to improve their product too late because if they go under I would honestly miss seeing some of those cars on the road. The imports just offer a more options and better quality. X5/ML/Cayenne/RR>Escalade/Navigator E/5/A6/M/GS>STS/MKZ/300 and Z/S2K>Mustang/Challenger
