The big 3 caused more harm then good?

Once again if you're going to be a ****, why post?
Well, I wasn't being a wanker in my first post. However....you definitely need to do some reading, as you seem to know fack all about anything to do with vehicles and 12v systems. You shouldn't be allowed to touch a vehicle.

You question everything everyone says here. If you are so smart, why are you here asking for these peoples advice.

Take it to a facking shop, let them do it....before you burn the dang thing to the ground. It is rather obvious you cannot do it, and the people here can try all they want....and in the end you will still be lost.

Do not use aluminum Lugs for this connection, Those are not sufficient. even if coverred, and I'm guessing they are not. Those will rust, are not sufficient conductors. Use a proper terminal loop. Solder for best connection.
Aluminum can rust eh ???!!! WOW... this thread is just chock-full of useful information //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif & Just so we're clear here... I'm NOT arguing the fact that aluminum lugs are junk, but last I checked aluminum does NOT and will NOT rust EVER...

This thread is full of misinformation, don't even know where to start.

FYI, a good 240a alt will charge a LOT of batteries, my 270xp charged 18 of them for 1 1/2 years without an issue. And they were diff brands and I used CCA wire. God I fail....

lol i know i thought of that after i wrote it, i meant oxidize, which will happen, and in an engine too, its gonna get fuqd up over time. was gonna edit, but actually wanted to see if someone would catch that.

like i said before in the thread, people have argued that adding batteries will add strain to the system. That is true, whether or not the alt charges them no problem or not is a different matter, as I also stated before the strain added from another battery is minimal.

Wanker and facking... Really? Lol. Well I mean asking questions is what a forum is for, so for me asking questions is perfectly logical! For you to come in and troll a forum like an ******* isn't very logical. Sorry for being a wanker and asking questions on a forum? Burn it to the ground eh? Explain how I'm about to do that?

Never said more batts wouldn't add put more demand on an alt, obviously it would. But a good alt will have no issues meeting that higher demand...

Holy fack balls......
1. The alt doesn't do 240 amps...period. At idle I would bet around 70 amps tops. Hot....and 1400 rpm....maybe 150.

2. No matter what you think, or how you think......less wire is never better......PERIOD.

3. I have seen plenty of industrial electricians who can't do jack in a 12v world with a stereo. He could work for NASA building navigation circuits and not know how to properly wire a stereo.

4. Most of the guys in here gave ya the right advice....either take it or leave it. Don't argue.
Seriously couldn't agree more. Just my perspective as an electrical engineering student, I could design an amplifier for you with what I've learnt from my studies but nothing to do with car audio was ever covered. I'd bet a fair amount electritians don't cover this stuff either.

All I've learnt was from doing it myself and learning from the advice on this and other audio forums. I see most of what's said here is dead on pretty useful helpful information.
