The Adire Audio Continued

I just hate it when people say : x-brand amp/sub/speaker are not what it used to be because it is not made in USA anymore.
That is true in some cases though; Look at what happened to Illusion Audio, production when to India and quality went down the toilet. It's all about who's runnin' the show and what control they still maintain over quality

yeah. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif that's what i am trying to say ...

My engineering leadership and develpoment was telling us a story he had heard from an employee that had worked for both honda and general motors. At general motors an engine fell of an assembly stand and was damaged. Because of the emphasis on process, the employee was required to install the enigne anyways and it continued down the assembly line until the final inspection revealed what had happened.
There are several problems with that story though. First of all, it shows a lack of understanding of how production lines work. It probably would have cost GM a great deal more to stop the production line rather than to throw away the whole vehicle at the end of the line. Also note that the problem was found at the end of the line, so QC wasn't a problem as the damaged engine didn't make it out to the consumer.

Dont get me wrong, I love my Tempest subs, I was just pointing out that 2/4 subs that were purchased between two people were bad...not the best ratio but the great sound from the subs and the superior Customer Service have made me a die hard Adire fan. My next purchases will be Brahmas when I get enough money.
3/4 i got two that where bad not adires fault though they didn;t make the driver eminace did

I hope you mean GM's, because...Ford trucks used to be/are built in Canada //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yours was a VERY unusual case. I have never seen anyone get two bad drivers before. And that's why I tested your third speaker before we sent it out to you. We sell quite a few Tempests, and we rarely see one come back with problems. In fact I don't think I've had one come back since yours, just to get you an idea.

That would make it 3/5 since you got the replacement and it was also bad, either way not a good ratio. I hope so one else has had problems like me and OLD_SCHOOL

True, buts where do the benefits of pride in work exceed those in cost. The damaged engine did not make it to the customer, but how does installing a destroyed motor affect the employee. What does that say about his work. He put an engine in that was bad, and was told to do so. Assembly lines are the most effecient way to produce pretty much anything, but somewhere in the middle there has to pride in a job and not constant manotany. There is nothing worse then doing a job that you don't have any say in.

Another thing I've been pondering is program cars. (A car built with any available parts from any year or model.) Is that what the screw ups are??? QC points out that the car is not satisfactorya dn then sends it to the parts bin so that something can be thrown together form leftover parts.

When you crack a basket in production or bend a VC does the sub continue to be built??? If so what happens at the end of the line. Would you sell a sub that had any sort of flaw if it passed "QC." When I purchase a product from a company i trust I expect nothing but the best the company has to offer.

Many times a program car will have many problems becasue of one varience in the materials used because they are from different cars. I work at autozone and you would be amazed at how many cars don't have the parts they should have, and I believe that this is somehow related to the problems many American cars have.
