Well, this is my second 300C I told myself I did not want to upgrade the system it comes stock with 6x9s in doors, 6x9 rear deck, (3) 3.5" in dash one center, one ten in the trunk (All Kicker from factory). The reason I did not want to upgrade is I like the factory nav, I hated when I my last 300C cost me $400.00 to wire up, I had rattles, I had engine noise (tried everything to get rid of it), it didn't go back together the same and on and on...
I had it in my mind with my new car that I could just do small upgrades and not go crazy. Well this week I spoiled my old plan and got in way too deep to get out now. If anyone has any good positive feedback, or suggestions about my new install I would appreciate it - especially a thought for the front dash, and rear deck IB or box install.
Below is how this has started and I have had the car for about 9 months now.
1. It started with a very simple audio upgrade when I got the car - I cut the dash a nothing major... Added Infinity Kappa 4" in the front dash (sound nice). If anyone has a 4" component or COAX they love post it up here please!
2. I Added some Alpine 6x9 to the rear deck - easy upgrade still nothing too crazy.
3. I added a Alpine S Type 12" with a modest mono Alpine amp (Mrp 450) that actually shocked me. I mean it sounded great for the price (amp box sub was under $300). Exactly what I wanted nice tight bass, no rattles I was happy (pics below in he spare tire well facing up).
4. Added a upgraded Kicker digital amp made for Chrysler 370 watts 8 channel actually I can hear the doors now like never before, I am happy again!
5. Now I get in trouble last week. I ordered Kicker 8" SSMB8 drivers (I had these in the doors of my last C and dam they were strong). I was going to put them in the new SRT with the upgraded 77Kick18AB Kicker amp - these things are sweet but there is no way they will work with stock amp.
6. More trouble. I sold the Alpine 12" sub and box and amp because I saw a car I liked with an IB setup and fell in love. I ended up buying 2 Image Dynamics ID ID10 Dual 2 OHM subs and I was thinking I would run them with a small mono amp for cheap.
7. IN TOO DEEP NOW. Last night I find Memphis Big Belle 16MCH1300 amplifier (thank you member RC10Mike). Its capable of 4x75 or 4x115 on the front and up to 1100 watts on the sub (I will not be using all that power to the subs I don't need it). CAN YOU SAY OVERKILL? At least it can run the 8s later, and the dash speakers and the subs in one package. Plus I can use the sub channel now and finish the other speakers later.
Now I need to find someone to install the baffle, or to build a sealed enclosure under the rear deck, hang it, and fire the subs into the cabin (I had a JL 8W7 in that same set up in my other C, and it sounded good, just not strong enough for me). If there is anyone local in AZ that wants to build a rear deck let me know on email smartbet2@gmail.com I would pay for good work...

I had it in my mind with my new car that I could just do small upgrades and not go crazy. Well this week I spoiled my old plan and got in way too deep to get out now. If anyone has any good positive feedback, or suggestions about my new install I would appreciate it - especially a thought for the front dash, and rear deck IB or box install.
