x2. The REAL uniform of the Persian Immortals look 10x better than what they showed. They also re-wrote the end of the battle (Leonidas is NOT the last to die) and they left out the battle-cry of the spartans vs. the immortals silence...would have been VERY cool if done right.Gladiator > 300 by far...
This is still a great movie but all of the Roman culture and prestiege from Gladiator is far superior to Sparta.
This movie is wall to wall action with tons of great shots from battle. From the Spartans first charge it seems as if they are far superior soldiers than anyone in battle. Every move seems controlled and perfectly calculated for the kill. Their battle formations were awesome and showed pretty accuartely how the greeks would have fought.
What I didn't like were all of the fake battle units like ogres and persian special forces dudes with silver masks. I also didn't like how gay some of the characters seemed (e.g. Persian King).
All in all I give it an A and will be buying this when coming out on DVD.
Glad you are not a critic. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifdid they talk as much as they did in gladior..............cuz that movie got really boring

The persian immortals had wicker (sp?) sheilds and armor, which the movie didnt show, and a black cloth covering there head and face, kinda like a turban. They were absolutly silent in everything they did. At one point before the spartans fought the immoratls they stood 50 yards apart; Spartans yelling and immortals silent...Link to the real outfits and full story? I was trying to find it last night but couldnt find the actual story
Yeah, in the entire army, not how many were killed.it was based off a true story. duh. haha i read on wikipedia that there were a projected 2.5 million persian soldiers
i completely understand what you mean, i felt the same way, there was something lacking...Yeah, in the entire army, not how many were killed. The most accurate measurements were 300 spartans, 700 greeks through a portion of it, and about 167K to 240K Persians killed in battle.
Good movie, although I don't know...there was just something lacking and I don't know what
Probably lack of extra background stuff, because in the majority of the movie, there was no background or real space, often it was just like miles until the next mountain or wall or something, which made the movie seem really empty to me
women should like it alot, they always see the spartans half **** all built up. LOLLikewise, this movie should be good for the fellas, women... not so much.
