i didnt post this earlier because i wanted to see how it

all played out, but on mothers day my 15A started making

a weird sound... there was obviously something wrong

it sounded like some banging in my trunk...

the sub didnt seem blown or anything... but i am no

expert and have no idea what actually went wrong...

anyways...

contacted eD live support and they were more than helpful...

i sent the sub in for them to check out... they offered me

a brand new 160v.2 in replacement for it since its an older

sub...

got the sub thursday, installed it yesterday in the same box

i had the 15A in... with just 400 watts for break in this sub

is nutz... already i can tell that it has potential to get louder

than the 15A with less power... it still retains that punchiness

that i liked with the flat cones but does have a smoother sound

overall...

even after only one day i can definatly vouch for this sub... ive

thrown metal at it... rap... industrial... techno... it sounds great!!!

and even though its not the flat cone... the white/silver cone with

the sexy script elemental designs brand written across it is very

pleasing to the eye...

thanks to eD for great customer service... super fast turn around

getting my replacement sub out to me and for making a great sounding

subwoofer thats happily wanging away in my trunk!!!

i think eD is a long way away from any "problems" that people may

have had with them... they make great gear and are awesome to

deal with... maybe you nay sayers should start to consider giving

them another look...

anyways... sorry theres no pics... but that wasnt really the point of

this post anyhow...

Good to see more people having good experience with Elemental Designs. Everybody around here bashes them for their past mistakes but when I dealt with them, they were great people.

Yep, anytime Ive dealt with them, they were always quick to respond, and very helpful. Ive tried to find out what all the ED hate stems from, but apparently its a well guarded secret. I guess the important thing now is that they are giving top notch service, and great products. IMHO, the service at ED puts any other company Ive dealt with through the internet to shame.

yay! finally eD gets a good review. i swear whenever i had to deal with eD theyve always been courteous, and did what i asked. i dont understand why people are bagging all the time.

it's mainly stuff that happened in the past and issues with CS.

obviously theyve gotten good reviews on the new lineup of amps, but i'll consider buying something when the Av.2 comes out.

and ya gotta be optimistic man...
