Hello, quick description.. i have 2 pioneer w3003d4 12s in a 2x 50liter slot port enclosure.. Those speakers are rated at 600rms/2000max each and are now powerred by crunch 2200.1d at 1ohm.. This amp can give 1100rms at 1ohm.. Since im planning to buy one more amp to have one for each sub i want to ask you if i can just unplug one sub and see how it performs getting 800rms at 2ohms? Or is it dangerous for the other sub who will remain passive?

I am also thinking about bigger box, so with 100 liters per single speaker i can also answer myself on that question about performance..

My only worry is, is it dangerous for the passive speaker when his brother is hitting??

i'm sorry dude i'm not good converting liters to cf but i have a 3003 in 1.6cf ran 900rms to it for months no problem at all but if u go more that 1.75cf with that power it may bottom out or just plain mess up..

Assuming the subs share the same volume of 100 liters or roughly 3.53cf-

If one sub isn't powered, the other sub will reach it's mechanical limit quicker with the larger volume. The amp doesn't do rated power so you should be ok as long as you don't turn it up all the way.

Getting a good voltage reading does not mean good power transfer. You could read 13.8v out of a 24 AWG wire. Recheck your amplifier's ground and...

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
