Then why are you thinking of buying another 2200.1 amp if your broke with a new baby and a pregnant wife?

I hope your not doing all this to your daily driver that you need to get to work.

He offered to change my pulley for free and I asked him to at least pay shipping on his end and he said he'd pay for both ways. But I also told him what my car idled at before I bought it so he could be sure it would work in my car.

Usually the smallest pulley they provide for free is the one that is on it now.You may have to purchase the next one.This does mean however that you will be pulling it back off of your car.

You can change the pulley yourself with an impact.

nate does it again.... do a search for idle voltage with nates alts... he just cant get it right... i understand a HO alt dont do power at idle but it should keep voltage.... and i thought u had a external regulator

Im not even sure it really matters to me. I mean as long as I run 12 volts at idle won't I be ok? I should be running 14.5 though right? ie isn't that what most normal alts do?

maybe once I get my system hooked up and at idle it will run higher ?

Alt isn't charging at idle, it's a common occurence with high output alternators from what i've just been reading . How do I set my car to idle a little higher?
