Test Sub?

How can I test a sub to see if it is not blown? I used a multimeter and did not get a 0 or ----. Does that mean it is okay?

lol it should give you a number. usualyy between .5 - 8

Take a AA battery and put the leads to it. Don't hold it though, if it makes a noise then its good, if not its blown. Teh poor mans way of checking subs FTW!

i hear people say use a dmm to test the resistance. i got 1.9 on a 2ohm coil but guess what, its blown. i guess you just gotta listen to it.

use a bass cd get the lowest hertz turn it up some and see if you hear any wierd noises that subwoofer isnt supposed to be makeing like ringing or really bad rattleing. or like the others said use a aa bat.
