no, I have bolts through my box to connect wires to.

i use them. if not u can just drill a hole through the box and run the wire.

ya just seal up around the wire on the box so you get no air leaks.

im gonna do the bolt one i think. do you just throw a bolt in there with a nut on the other side? how do you connect the wire?

make sure to use silicone to seal around the wire

ring terminals, I actually used threaded rod so I'd have a nut on both sides but same idea

why not terminal cups? just a added cost?

i'm building a box, ill probably just take the cups out of my old box.

is there a reason NOT to usethem? or just a cost and havng to cut holes thing?

^some cheap ones leak air if you aren't careful (and if you use them with high-powered subs being fed lots of power), and it's another connection for your power to go through...but besides the cost I really don't see too much of a downside to them

Yeah, I guess I get it, I have silicone'd the ones in that I used...hm...that was on a bedliner wrapped box, i guess you would have to get under thecarpet on a carpeted box.

Unless you buy nice ones, the 2 dollar ones at radio shack will crack around the screws when you put a mean moofer in there. Best to drill a 5/16 hole for your wire to go thru, and then liquid nails around it on the inside. But, make sure you got plenty of slack before you glue it down. And tie a knot in the wire up close to the hole so it can't be pulled out.

Here is how I have done it and the results can be really nice:

The screw heads are in the enclosure with wires attached via ring terminals and then the bolts are epoxied into the enclosure. The brass screw on bolts then attach to the box and hold down another set of ring terminals that run to the amp. It works nicely and it's cheap and easy.
