foam and fiberglass

im considering making a custom fiberglass dash, but unless i spend hundreds of dollars on materials it aint gonna happen. as an alternative, i thought about laying down 2-3 layers of glass for a "floor", then filling in the low vallies with foam, smoothing it out, and glassing on top of the foam to add speaker pods/instrument cluster/etc.

what kind of foam should i use that will not disentagrate or warp with polyester resin? I was thinking of using "great stuff" because i can just spray a whole mess of it into the bottom piece, grate/sand untill i get the desired shape, and then lay the top glass over that. it should be pretty riged and still lightweight right?

Sadly if i didn't have to get get work right now id give you info on this. But once i get back man i will chime in. Im sure kove will shine light on this though 4 ya;).
