Wiring to .5 on strapped amps?

Alright, dual 2s......I know if I wire to 1 ohm each sub and then put them together that would be .5 but I heard strapping the amps breaks that in half, which would be .175 per amp. So how do I wire so they are .5 with strapping.

A 1 ohm load will put each amp at .5

A .5 ohm load will put each amp at .25

So in that case would I need Dual 1s?

Yes, if you want each amp to see .5, or Dual 4s

You can run Dual 1s and run each on its own amp (same total power and power per sub as strapping without the hassle) or you can get Dual 4s and strap it up.
