from what i hear, a RL-p is definitly worth the extra cash. i planned on buying almost everyone of thous woofers at one point and am now leaning towards a RL-p, (if i ever sell my old shit). but if you do buy RL-p, then you might consider spending yet a litle more cash (another 100$ or so) and go for the avalanch. so its hard....

but whatever u go with im sure you will be happy,

a 12in. hasnt come out in the avalanche series has it? or at least, it doesnt show on the site.

and how big of a box will either 2 ported se12's or rl-p's going to need? its down to these 2 subs pretty much now. but whichever that can handle a smaller box would be preferable. what would the demensions be?...if any1 knows.

i wouldnt put 500 watts on an atlas daily

i realized that after some research

its just down to RL-p and se...both in 12in.

whichever can be placed in a smaller box will probably take the ticket. i dont want to kill my trunk space.

any site where i can find box size recommendation for these 2 subs?

I'd say 1 cu ft with polyfill would be perfect for an rl-p 12 though you could probably manage a little smaller. I'd take an rl-p over an se any day. I'd actually take it over any re sub regardless of price (before you flame do some searching, I have my reasons)

thanks for the tip. and ill trust you on RL-p>se. ive heard nothing but good for these things.

i just didnt want to purchase a RL-p then find out its a space *****, i still want to be able to use my trunk for other materials

so if its ~1 cu ft. for one...is it safe to say that i use 2 cu ft. for 2 subs?...or should i enlarge the box a little more? sorry for the newbish question. ive been searching the forums the whole time to reduce questions. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Edit: its safe to go 1cu ft. for ported?

I believe right around 1.25 cu ft per sub is ideal for the rl-p but you could get away with 1 cu ft with polyfill and it should still sound awesome. Be sure to account for the driver displacement of .19 cu ft when designing your box.

1 cu ft ported is definitely too small. I think about 1.5 cu ft NET is better, but dont take my word for it. I could easily be wrong.

you can run 2000 to one if.....

a. you know what a volume knob is and how to use it
in that case though are you really going to send it all 2kw though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

BTW, i agree with you.
