team rf woofer

I heard mix feelings on this sub.

Like stated above, this sub is a fart machine only, and sounds nasty.

But Friend of mine had one has said it had decent SQ and he ran his daily and loved it.

Teh question is, Does it matter how bad it might sound for daily?

and how do you know this?
Also people said the MT cant be a daily driver
And those people were right. The MT SUCKS as a DD too. lmao!

Im really getting tired of people suggesting subs that aren't designed for that purpose. Even the people at RE will tell you the MT was not designed for DD use, and they dont/didnt recommend it for such a task.

Yes Ive heard MT "DD" systems, and solo x's, strokers... all those 'SPL' subs people say excel at daily use also... those people lie. Just about any successful SPL driver is gonna tend to be peaky. Yes, some you can stick in enormous boxes and make them sound... acceptable. But none of them will sound great, not when compared to a sub that is actually designed for that application.

But in today's world it seems if the bass makes your eyes water and your head spin, its considered to sound awesome.

I will sum it up with one last thought. If a Team RF sub, or an MT makes such a great DD, why dont you go buy one, install it, and let us know how you do at your local SQ competitions.

i've heard 2 team rf 15's on a autotech MM4000.1

it hurt....as for sq is was good enough for me, i wouldn't really care that much how it sounded because in that case it was really...really loud, at the show it did 126.x in drive by

There are woofers with better SQ characteristics however, these sound pretty good and I have used a 12" in about 4.5 cubes for a little over a year and it sounds great in my opinion and can get **** loud when I want it to. It does exhibit a bit of overhang on more complexed material and sound a little boomy with jazz/blues but overall not bad.

Anyone that looks at the specs. or better yet hmmm... listens to one will tell you they should perform reasonably well it's just sort of impractical for a daily woofer. Find some used Power RFR's they would be a better choice for daily.
