Tcguy85's 5.1 HT/2.1 music setup.

just moved my crossover point from 60hz up to 80hz and it's much better. at higher volumes i get that "punch in the chest" feeling. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

finally got a working Shiva-x and have been listening to it for the last couple nights. for music it sounds **** good and gets pretty loud. movies is a whole other story. a single sealed 12 is just simply not enough for my sized room. i have it calibrated to the same level as the other 5 speakers and any louder than -15(from reference level) on select movies, just drives both the sub and the sub amp past its limits. a second one may be in the near future.

i wish there was. this is my 1st DIY home audio sub project, so it's not really easy or fair to try to compare it to the subs i've used in cars. i'm kinda curious to hear what it sounds like in the car. but i don't have a box to throw it in.

suuuurrrre.

video games are sick in 5.1!!!

clean up those wires and do something with the box and you are golden
yea, the wiring has been a mess and i'm not quite sure why to be honest. its only the receiver, the cable box and the ps3. there really should be THAT much wiring. i gotta go through and clean it up one of these days.

and i'm not sure what i'm doing with the box. i am thinking i'm going to change the sub setup, so not sure if i'm going to finish this one.

zip ties are your friend at this point or down grade in cable length?

i bet my old setup on cod4 was pretty nuts.
i haven't played 4, but COD W@W is so sick. first person shooters were never my thing, and i'm still not very good at it, but it is getting very addicting. hearing people trying to sneak up behind you on the surround channels is so cool.
