Oh ok, cool. I appreciate it anyway. I'm not trying to steal anything from him, it just seems like he has a wealth of knowledge and I'd simply like to become a better box builder.

custel/josh can attest to the fact that a box that wangs one car, may be terrible in another. A box that put out a 151.7 in the blazer (vid on the site, 2 type S 12's) pulled a what, 142? in the taurus... and josh had more power. One coil on one sub was louder than that in the blazer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif. The note was 60+hz

Now, a box that was more specifically built for the taurus (the single 15 box he used at finals)... a similar box in the blazer could only muster a 149.2, while in my monte (the vehicle the box was built for) under the same conditions that box pulled a 150.5... in the taurus the box pulled a 149.0 wasnt it? with similar power. The note in all the vehicles was between 44 and 48hz.

You can look inside either of those boxes all day and you won't learn anything. The truth is that neither had anything fancy going on, they were just woofer/vehicle specific. I am more interested in learning how to build boxes that are tailor made for a specific vehicle? What kinds of things do I need to know about a vehicle in order to maximize the performance of the enclosure?
