TC1000 or Fi SSD

I love that game. I beat it in 3 sittings. I got kinda pissed with EB Games though. I reserved Gears back in March, and EB didn't even call me when it came in to let me know they had them in stock.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

brandon may or may not have, but I certainly do. Great little subs, tough too. Ive thrown twice their rated power at them and they didnt complain. These have been in production for almost 7 years now, they're pretty reliable subs and sound great. I was using one in my SQ setup in my Corvette for almost a year.
The SSD is a superior subwoofer.
I own both, and the SSD wins in SQ and output.

With your enclosure (a little oversize) and power, the SSD will do well. Ask Scott to build yours with dual soft spiders (instead of the stock dual stiff).

That's how I had my 6 10's built, because I was only giving about 400-500 to each one.

Thank you both for your input and your honesty. I will take your advice and email Scott and discuss the options with him. I will also have a friend see if he can adjust my enclosure design and shrink it down too.

You may all know go on discussing this video game. I remember when 3do was just the hottest system released, yeah I am old… lol. Then again I grew up playing colecovision, atari, nintendo and the two sonys. I am actually considering buying a 360 but dont know if my old lady will let me.

Beserker, I hope you don't mind me using your thread.

I am thinking about getting the SSD to replace a power acoustik I just burned out today. This is my amp and this is my enclosure

I figured I could wire the Dual 1 in series and get 2 ohm 800w RMS.

Does anyone see a problem with this. From the look of the specs it seems like it would work.

That's really exciting. They are nice looking subs.

The only thing I am confused about is the coil options. DO I need to pick either a copper or flatwind or does it come with something already. Also, do you think there is a need for one or the other?

You won't need the flatwind.

You could consider the copper coil addition. But the standard aluminum voice coil will do well, giving you flat response. The copper coil gets lower easier, and is a tiny bit peakier.
