TC sounds epic vs. Dayton audio titanic mk3

ugh sigh as much as the newb arguing for the daytons doesn't know what he is talking about they are actually really really nice subs for the price. Those Titanics are very nice subs. Those TC Epics are also very nice. I think you will like them both a lot I know I did. I don't think there is a losing choice there, just comes down to personal preference and money constraints. If you are between those 2 subs, its a win win.

awful lot of LOUD to me for a couple cheap 10's... that was just 1 of 100's of videos... which tbh dont tell the real story but far too many people that have ACTUALLY used them vs just read about them agree... they are great for SQL... in a car and amazing for SQ in HT... for the price extremely hard to outdo them...

now that is truth //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif w/o inexperienced BS opinion...

Anybody heard both of these to compare them? I am looking for a sub to complete my soundstage and was looking at these. The Dayton ho or hf was a option as well as the ssa dcon. I think i would like to run either the tc sounds or the dayton though. Opinions will be welcome especially if you have heard or used either of these subs. Dayton Audio TIT280C-4 10" Titanic Mk III Subwoofer 4 Ohm

TC Sounds Epic 10" DVC Subwoofer

Also is the epic worth the extra money over the dayton?
Whered all this talk of 10s and 12s come from, I thought OP was between 2 15s?
10's.....not 15's

ah I C lol I got lost in this thread between the OP and now hehe. But my opinion still stands!

Yeah I had the Titanic 15s wow what a nice sub for the money Dayton really knows how to make their money go the distance in all of their equipment.

TC Sounds has always made good quality drivers.

they are both great drivers...win/win either way but I know for a FACT the TC will take a ton more abuse and live to play another day...never saw a MKIII take a hard burp and live...or play on 3500 daily...

Perfect Prefect ran his aq3500 to his single 5200 daily... but he also knows how to make the box control the sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Tc subs have motors and coils that far exceed their power ratings, it's the soft parts that can't take the abuse. So in a proper box they thrive on power.

Tc 5200 has an 8 layer 4" flat wound coil...that can take way more than the rated 2000w

I didn't mean to start such a heated argument about subs, lol. Strong opinions towards both subs here. Seems as though in the end either way i go will be a win win.

Yep. Install is far more important than deciding between these two
