TC Sounds Epic 10 or JL 10W6v2?

I agree trippy. For whatever reason Silver is under the misconception that the TC sub needs some massive sealed box, I think it's because he read it's a home audio sub.

Yes - I'm familiar with Qts... But honestly you are clinging to that question over comparing the TC to the clarity of a W6 with the output of a W7. The recommendation for a larger sealed enclosure is both from the manufacture (which you recommend to be ignored) and multiple forum threads I found when doing a brief search. It's certainly possible that the TC might work in that small .8 sealed box although I doubt it. It's a moot point about how low either will play as the Lexus ML stereo has a 35hz sub crossover, and very few do a full swap due to the complexity and level of integration the stock system has. I'm not comparing the IDQ to the TC - I run an IDQ, the discussion was W6 vs the TC - I don't think the W6 is well suited for that enclosure either. Like I said several times before people end up with JL because it's the default a lot of the shops push, and most people don't know any better. You can't hate JL because they make bad products - they just charge to much for them. And I know a lot of people - probably most readers here would never own JL equipment out of principle (nothing wrong with that). The only JL product I have now is an HD900/5 which is perfect for my wife's car. I wouldn't recommend the w6 for that enclosure either... Which is why I went with an IDQ not that the IDQ is a comparable sub to the w6. It's just more suited for a small sealed enclosure, and I wasn't looking for crazy bass anymore. I've run my re xxx for 8+yrs - time for a more reasonable amount of bass :)

I was able to log in fine, using Chrome if that helps. I don't know anything about the product at all, just found the info and shared the love. :)

Brother in law has some of their 8’s and they are little beasts. Typical cookie cutter product that performs as it should.

Off the shelf design, nothing special and will sound like a bull horn. The best pro audio drivers I’ve heard are the crossfire XTpro6’s. The best...
