I suppose... I have never heard a TC driver that sounded 'bad'.

But I dont know what classifies a driver as being SQL oriented, or SPL oriented, since SQ is subjective and varies greatly...

I would deffintily say that my TC 18" 4HP is one hell of an SQL driver, but is comparabley as loud(er) as many SPL drivers.

idk... me when i think SPL, i think only LOUD in some frequencies and awful in others... and sound like shit... i dont understand people that put straight SPL sub in their car other than competition...

i think when an SQ compagny have an "SPL" sub, it is a freakin loud driver than sound clear and accurate till ur ears cant tell difference...which means: when u want it loud, it gets freakin loud and accurate, but when u want playin at normal level listening, its sounds flawless, and i think thats wut everyone is lookin for most of the time when they talk of SQL sub...

i dont think SQ is subjective, i think an sq sub is a sub that covers whole bass frequency response and is accurate with in every frequency...

SQ is extremely subjective. You might have a system that is the best you have ever heard. And then I come along and tell you it sounds like shit. Doesn't get much more subjective than that.
