Anyone looked at this thing yet?

I really like the Black thick Paper cone and regular dust cap. I wish I could fit one in my truck I'd be all over this thing! Kind of looks like a Giant AA Assassin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Don't know much about the scecs though? Would this thing slam in a sealed box?

Justintoxicated, the enclosure TC had those in made me laugh they were so small.

I was really amazed that that woofer was crammed inside of there and sounded so good.

I have one of these if you want a demo. I dont have an amp or enclosure to power it though.

Hi Supa, are you still heading to SD next weekend? I want to try to make it. If I'm there I will be in my Red Brawn Titan. My amp is 1200RMS @1 ohm though and I also have no enclosure lol. not many amps are 1200 watts @ 4 ohm's? I'm wondering if I shoudl forget about using that extra TC 1000 for a home audio project and pickup one of these instead //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Off topic but what is a good enclosure size for 10" TC 1000 for listening to music? .75cuft about right?

Im the host, i have to make it..lol

I hope that you can come down.

I have amps, but they are little piddly things that do 300w rms and my enclosure is a dual 12 sealed, not little by any means.

.75 will work great. Might want to add some polyfill to get some better lower end but try without first and see if you like it.

Its a home theater woofer, most of those big rack amps do about 1200w or so at 4ohms.
I was thinking about maybe getting it for home audio for the price,

and using one of these...

But I have a spare TC1000 that needs the surround to be sealed better (airleak in it). TC already replaced it with a new driver but I kind of hate to throw this one away.

Is CA glue like regular superglue? Maybe I should try the TC1000 first, or just sell it as is or donate it or something...It's taking up space...And this new woofer is really cheap and a 12"!

The behringer is more than enough power for that.

CA is better than superglue because it comes in about 5 or so different strengths

For surroudns i reccomend some RTV sealant, not ca glue.

Even if it is on the outside of the suround (Towards the Basket?) I have some clear RTV I could try, but I'll never know if it worked unless I put it in a sealed box.

The thign with that amp is, for the price difference I may as well get the more powerful unit right? Waiting for a deal to come up on ebay or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
