Taurus Setup

Hey yall,

I bought a 1997 Taurus for my wife last week. This car is going to be for her and the 6 month old, so I cant make the system REAL loud. So I am going to make it somewhat loud for when she wants to chill. My truck is the LOUD one, she cant handle that. This is the equipment I will order: Kicker K5.2 Component Set and Kicker RMB8 Midbass. I kind of got my mind made up with these speakers, if you have any suggestions please feel free to speak. What kind of amp do yall think I should get????? I have a 600x4 Jensen that I am not using, just collecting dust.

Just needing some suggestions.

YOu could order the 57.2 component and it will fit directly into the factory opening.

Thought about putting the 57.2's in but she wants some good thump when chillin'. I will have to make a little mods to the install but nothing I cant handle. Any amps come to mind that will drive this setup good???

Actually there are several that pop into mind. The best and most affodable would be a provile 4-channel. I have a whole lot of experience in that neighborhood. Another one that comes into mind is a Kicker KX300.4. If you are wanting to spend a little more you can look into the JL 300/4. Look into the alpine V-Power series for an another good afforable option.

i got a 97 ford taurus gl i have 2 15' memphis power refrance, rockford fosgate 451s power series amp, 1.5 digtal farad audifonics cap,and alpine cd player with kenwood 6x8.my system sounds great but u have 2 have the back seats down to get the real bass.i think my setup is good and i get plenty of compliments (along with noise ordnance tickets).
