will a 200 amp alt. upgrade in my explorer be enough to power two 15" l7's that are each hooked up to their own hifonics 1500? also do i need caps even with the upgraded alt.? i hear i do from people...i dont from others so...(im also gonna have an extra yellow top too so.)

200 amp would DEFINATELY be better, but I'd play it safe and get a 300amp unit if you can afford it. (Especially since you will be running two 1500 watt amps not one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) In the ideal world you want the alt to be capable of throwing out enough current to support everything running wide open without the batteries.... ideally...

Anyone make a 900 amp alternator? lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But I agree with n2audio - it should be plenty with that extra yellow top even if using 2 big amps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
