Hurtin' feelings errrday.
What wire are you running for the big 3? I know you stated 1/0 but is it a good quality brand and OFC or is it CCA?
160dbs @ 30hz would be considered loud ...
I sure hope so lolAnd it should...
Have you used these or seen them in person? Looks like a very handy size.Never a bad idea to upgrade to a better alt. Thats the nice thing about the Lithiums. They are TINY.MiSolar Energy 12v 16.5Ah Lithium Battery
Yep. Good rule of thumb once you start getting into big power is you'll need to spend about the price of the amp in batteries to properly feed it.Well **** guys, it looks like I just opened up myself another can of worms. Worst part about it is I don't even think its all that loud haha. Thanks for the help I am really going to have to look at my options because space is tight for sure.
I have to say, since adding that Duracel g31, I feel my x10 has no limit. I've turned vol 6 clicks passed original vol setting and it seems like it can take more.same exact sh*t with my buddy on a stock electrical system, his is a jeep with 160 amp alt and an fsd 2600.1 Wasnt loud at all, voltages dropping. Added a big 3, amps stayed a lot cooler, Added a 2nd group 31 battery. SH*T GOT WAAAAAAAY fking louder at 8 clicks below his normal volume level and was ridiculous at his normal volume level. You literally are only getting 1500-2000 watts at best with your electrical and the long 1/0 run vs the recommended short 1/0 runs.
I have not. Loved my Juicebox AGM from him though.Have you used these or seen them in person? Looks like a very handy size.
Good question and I completely forgot I am running some cheapo cca. Worked great for the cab not great for this amp haha. So thanks for reminding me I have some ofc on the way hopefully will install this weekend. What wire are you running for the big 3? If you are using a factory alternator it is likely not capable of giving you more than 60% of its "rating" in real world situation and even if you did have a 200A legit alternator your vehicle needs a fair bit of that power just to function so it's not like all of that is put there by Ford just to feed some big arse amp. I'd say you're in the market for 1000-1200$ in electrical upgrades to make that amp function properly and safely. Whether or not you get a proper HO alternator you definitely want more batteries and I'd also encourage you to get battery(s) as close to the amp as possible for best results.
Lastly post pics of the box as it sits in the vehicle and you may get some suggestions of how to get louder from guys with more experience building pickup trucks.
